WEAR AND CARRY - HQL CLASS REFERENCE INFORMATION


Thank you for attending our Wear and Carry course or HQL course! We hope you found it to be full of retainable information, 

good firearms practice, professionalism, and most of all, we hope you enjoyed spending your time with us. 


We strive to deliver great training and help you feel more comfortable with the concept of firearm ownership and firearm handling. With that being said, below you will find the reference links to all the Maryland laws, statutes, and Orders from the Governor that we went over in class. 


To go over the requirements for your Wear and Carry Permit as well as Handgun Qualifications License (HQL) , You will need the following:

4 STEP DRAW FOR WEAR AND CARRY STUDENTS

  1. Non-Dominant hand to the chest - Remove anything covering firearm!
  2. Draw just out of the holster and cant the firearm forward.
  3. Move your firearm to the clap position - Push out to proper stance. 
  4. Take 2 shots COM (Center of Mass) (can be more then 2 shots to neutralize the threat).  

10 STEP DRAW process for Security and Investigations

  1. Non-Dominant hand to the chest - Remove anything covering firearm!

  5. Low Ready with Firearm
  6. FAILURE TO STOP - 1 (Or more) Shots to the ocular socket. 
  7. Low Ready with Firearm
  8. Check for additional Threats - Get off the X
  9. High and tight (Preparing to holster)
  10. RELUCTANTLY RE-HOLSTER
